Ok, i don't like the teen girl stars now, they are all caught up with Hollywood glam and just I can't really explain it. I'm trying to see to look up to someone who is my age, besides the ones I idolize who are like 30 now. Like I idolize Christina Ricci and like Thora Birch. 90s stars. Also the girl Sabrina from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, another 90s star. Is it just me or are all the ones now too caught up in growing up, like a lot of the girls who are in my school...Like I hate Miley Cyrus, which a lot of girls look up to and Paris Hilton, which I can't believe girls look up to. Is it only me who thinks of this stuff?

Well I agree with you Marie. Hilary Duff is one of my few role models that is a teen now. Angelina Jolie is not a teen, so don't mention her.

how about Alyson Michalka...she doesnt seem to be caught up in all of it. shes my role model for sure. only 17 (her birthdays coming up not too long from now) but thats sorta close to your age right? Aly is all about hanging out with her sister and being a Christian. her sisters more into boys..right now she seems to be just enjoying life. of course she loves singing but she doesnt care that much about the spotlight. shes just expressing the art that her and her sister write.

and why stick to only girls? sure you cant exactly look to guys for fashion but with attitude and everything else...guys'll work too.
the other celeb i look up to..i not only admire Drake Bell in a passionate way but hes my role model too. Drake is my fav. guy because he sticks to the music he enjoys and cherishes..not conforming to the latest trends. even his clothes are his own style. i know this sounds weird but i would love to dress like him.i mean his type of clothes can work for guys or girls...you can find clothes similar to his in the girls aisle im positive. unless you like dressing like the typical girl. if some people do not like him..hes ok with that. he wants to be respected for what he does, not just how he looks. actually he prefers girls to respect him rather than stalk him or be all over him. that is an admirable quality. Drake is confident but not too confident to be conceited. he is the sweetest guy ive ever met. i admire his mental strength..the fact that he doesnt let stuff bother him. i love his taste in music..the Beatles rock! hes all about the classics..now this is a guy who wishes to earn his success. he prefers the people who are the same way..alot of the artists out today he does not like at all because they are all about the spotlight and conform to the latest trends. these people do not create real music..and have all their songs written for them and they are the ones hes gonna turn away from.
all in all he appreciates the people who admire him..and he truly cares about his fans. you know what i mean? he doesnt wish people to worship at his feet or anything but he cares about the people who do love him and respect him for who he is.
oh and one of those people who he truly dislikes is Miley Cyrus btw.
(sry hope i didnt ramble too much. i wanted to make sure you knew the basis of his extraordinary qualities)

remember dont try to be exactly like anyone...you can look up to them but be your own person too

It sounds almost like you've constantly chosen to follow your own way, but it's a contradiction that you're seeking someone to look up to. I mean it says a lot of good about your character that you possess the humility to be open to role models. Either way, look up to someone cool, like Einstein, or if you need someone more up-to-date Farrah Gray- a self-made millionaire by age 14. Even though those are two guys, they've created a pretty impressive path to follow. Or another fun option would be to stop idolizing altogether. You'll probably find that your own way was the most exciting, no matter how difficult. And you could potentially create a more narrow and more personal path for your own unique creative energy to flow through.

I totally look up to Paris HIlton in only one way...the clothe style. I think Hilary Duff is a good role model because she kind and donated money to poor people. Like Angelina Jolie...
