i would help you but changing the ipod interface delete's the warranty on it and just in case it accidently gets broken i don't want you to have to buy a new one.

You don't unless you want to void your warranty. Installing ANY other software except for the updates from Apple WILL void your warranty, and can leave you with an unusable iPod.
