I didn't say that telling the complete truth was always right, nor did i say being blunt was always right, I was sayying trying to do the right thing in terms of thinking "whats the right thing to do in this particular moment is this particular situation?" which of course must be customized to the circumstances, that's what I meant by trying(thinking it over without taking so much time the opertunity is past) to do the right thing(what one thinks is actually right for the situation and circumstances)

Yes, I'd call that a tautology. Even if the right thing is to do absolutely nothing, if you are trying to do the right thing then nothing is what you would end up doing.

no
if your friend spills some milk on you desk would u say" HOW COULD U DO THAT NOW GET A PAPER TOWEL AND WIPE THIS OFF WHILE I GET EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY TO KNOW ABOUT WHAT U DID" ...... i dont think so the right thing to do is clan up with him and if it isnt that bad u dont have to tell your parents even if it was the right thing to do

******this example is better though::
if your friend was going to get shot and u know that u should save him since it was the right thing to do so u jump in front of him buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut half of doing that is wrong because now your friend will feel bad and your family would probably never talk to his family ever again.also u would make every sad

I would think so. But a better question I think would be, "How do I know if it's the right thing to do?"
Actually when I thought about it I had a hard time understanding how if it was the right thing to do how could it be the wrong thing? That's what I get for thinking LOL.

the right thing done at the wrong time is never the right thing. the idea is to do the right thing at the right time for then it is right.
It is best to always try to d the right thing, for in doing the opposite one has much ground to recover, which puts you at a disadvantage and you wind up losing an opportunity to do the right thing, and a lost opportunity, can never be retrieved.

Always try to do what is your highest level of understanding of right.....for only then you will progress on the ladder of the wise.

Yes, if you have truly tried to do the right thing and know in your heart that you were true and honest in your actions then when you lay your head on your pilow at night you should be able to sleep peacefully with a clear conscience.

Of coarse not!!! Take this for example: Your best friend just brought his/her new born baby home from the hospital. Now this is the uglyest baby you've ever seen! The parents are so proud of their little bundle of joy, and ask you isnt the baby the cutest baby you've ever seen!! You know that lying is wrong and imoral, but in this case it is your best option unless you want to really piss your friend off!!!!!!!! So no, doing the right thing isnt always the right thing to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's actually the right thing, then it's an obvious yes. The question is based on what you perceive as the right thing, and you know that's different for everyone.

Ecclesiastes says " Why be overly righteous or overly wise, why destroy oneself." Even Peter denied Christ 3x so that he would not be crucified himself. The he carried the gospel to other parts of the world to God's glory. I myself am lying right now so I don't lose medical assistance. Sometimes you can't do the right thing.

The spirit for an act always comes first. Get right in your Spirit and any errors you do are honest wrongs.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

No: sometimes it's best not to TRY so hard.

In religious terms, that concept might be called SABBATH.

A philosophical tradition that makes use of this same concept is VIRTUE.
