I have somehow aquired a 'friend' who seems to show up wherever I am, she can be insulting and a bit jealous of me. She doesn't seem much going on in her life to spend this much time interested in me. It is kind of strange.

P.S. She is an older and I want to know how to tell her to get lost without hurting her feelings?

I don't want to be her friend either so would prefer a clean break.

Yes to those that asked, it is this Katie online who started attacking me for posting questions on Britney Spears and now she follows all my questions and is harassing me. Maybe she doesn't like teenagers who like Britney Spears but I don't want to be her friend and I don't want her following me around here anymore. It seems disturbing for an adult to do that doesn't it?

Thanks SONNY, that's what this Katie seems to be doing to me. Oh well it's a bad reflection upon her at her age. Hope she just leaves me alone as I will do her in future. I don't want an adult internet stalker on my back. This is just for fun.

Is it the Katie who has answered in your question here? I just replied to a question of hers and it's not even written properly. Could be that she's a bored lonely old lady who has nothing better to do than follow teen girls around online. What she calls winding up, could be deemed as harrassment. And if this keeps up it surely is.

If this is actually happening online -- report her! If you are a minor then tell your parents because this could be a child/teen predator. These days you can't be too safe with all the internet crimes.

You do not mention your respective ages or even your genders, but I will try to give you an answer that should fit most circumstances:

Spend more time amongst people your own age. Make sure a friend goes out with you, perhaps meeting you at your house, before you go out. If Katie is a lot older, do things that might tire her out or things that would be age inappropriate for her. Ignore her, especially if she insults you. Or tell her that you don't like her insults and that you don't want to be around her any more. Do this when you are with your friends.

Another thing you can do, especially if Katie isn't that much older than you--find a club or group of people her age that you could suggest she join. Tell her you think she'd be happier spending time there.

Ages please? you could be 16 and the old lady 20 or you could be 16 and the old lady 90. Give us a break and post some more info if you want good answers. Mmmmmm so that's the answer. Perhaps she'll get the message now. Hate to say it but if Katie is old in her twenties at my age I must be typing this from 6 ft under the ground and it's the bear bones that's hitting the keys. I am sure I am not the only one who will be looking with interest to see what the two of you are up to.

Sounds like Katie has nothing better to do. But not sure what you mean by "older". How old is older?
