What was your method for staying fresh?

Youu remember what you use. Do some reading now. Expain a section to a younger student. View a film on the topic you need to review. When I review before a lecture, it all comes back.

I go to the library every now and then and check out a freshman biology text.
There's also a fine book called
CliffsQuickReview Biology
which covers all that material, in condensed form!

you have to learn it and it will stay with you forever. that's the problem with schools today no one learns anything, just how to pass a test. what good is it to know that photosynthesis take place in plants if you don't know what photosynthesis is. i learned it more than 30 years ago and its still fresh in my mind

You teach it. Unless you use it and constantly review, you forget. Why would a person need to remember that ribosomes produce protein? Answer: they don't unless they are teaching high school.

I couldn't even remember Bio while I was in that class!
