Yep, while working on medic squad. We responded to a club one night where a guy was down with a gunshot wound after the police "secured" the scene. Got the guy to the ER, rolled him into the exam room and walked may 20' out of the room, when a nurse called my name and told me to turn around. I had left a trail of bright red blood behind me.
The 'secure scene' became unsecured when the shooter came back and found that we we actually helping the guy he shot. All hell broke loose and apparently in the middle of all this hell while trying to get out of it, someone knifed me on my upper arm severing a vein and I did not know it, had such an adrenaline rush going on trying to save the guy, knew I was lightheaded, but had no pain at all due to also severed the nerve.

Yes, I was in my car when this big wrestler type reached in and grabbed me by the neck and banged my head on the door top. He was about to jerk me out of the car when I pulled a tear gas gun (that looked like a 25cal) and said do you want to be shot. He then went back to his car, and I took off. I later found I had a head wound when I saw the blood on my coat.
I don't know why I would suck my thumb though.

Haha well one day at my Uni I tripped and just got up and started walking and I looked down a minute later and my knee was COVERED in blood, as in there was blood running all the way from my knee down into my socks. And it didn't hurt until I looked down and saw all the blood tehn it hurt like hell and I sortof fell on the ground screaming, got over it and walked to class. I had a great excuse for being late. You cant argue with blood soaked socks.

Eww, no I wouldn't suck it incase. But when I'm stressed my nose tends to explode, so it often bleeds and I think it's just a runny nose til I notice blood everywhere
