Married, both late 20s, no kids, live in northern PA and would rather not fly, We don't really like cities. looking at like a 4 day trip or so. Went to Mystic CT last year and loved the small coast town and the vincinity to the 2 big casinos there.

You should go to Put-In Bay Island in Ohio. Its fun and you can rent a cottage and get moped or golf carts to ride around. The have some cool caves and a winery and plenty of places to hear live music and dance or just chill.
It is close to Cedar Point so you should stop there too!
No casinos in Ohio though.

Try northern New England like Vermont or New Hampshire. The ski lodges run specials in the summer and the country side is beautiful.

Drive to Niagara Falls.about 250 miles. 5:30 hours.10 gal.gas.
then check out Toronto, CA.
