How can a "Man, Be Dead" for over ayear, in his house & nobody notice??

RE; News article, Man found dead in chair w /T.V. blaring. Man found was mummyfied, because he had been , in a "LOW" humidity house. Nobody noticed, mailman,gas man, powerman,neighbors, & most of all Relatives. How sad,even tho, i think he was pro'lly w/his Maker,thank-you GOD !?!?!?!!!

AFTER, I'VE THOUGHT BOUT THIS I RELIZED,,,HE COULD'VE HAD MONEY DIRECTLY DEPOSISTED, & HIS BILLS,LIKE POWER,PHONE,ETC, PAID DIRECTLY OUT TOO. AND HE COULD'VE HAD A "DOOR,MAIL-DROP" ETC,ETC.&ETC. AND OH YA, IT WAS ON "CNN", NOT IN THE eNQUIRIOR,DUMBASS!!!

I read this article and my first thought was how sad no one noticed that he was no longer among the living. Speaking of relatives apparently he had none. Or at least I hope he didn't, if so, they were a poor excuse for love-ones.

Thanks for the information on how his bills may have been paid.

Always check on the elderly & the disabled love-ones, and nieghbors as well. It only takes five minutes to pick-up the phone and make contact.

Yes isn't that a shame??? First of all. the neighbors should have noticed the overflowing mailbox,or even the mailperson to begin with...second, the stench would have circulated enough to arouse someone's nostrils, dont you think??? thirdly, a phone call or repeated calls from family,friends, bill collectors,etc would have alerted some intelligent person to the police or something....I D K but it seems awful strange that a years time of t.v. would also wake some person up to the fact, that something is wrong !!!

I don't see how that's possible, there is definitely something strange about that story. The gas stayed on, the electricity stayed on, and no one questioned his bills not being paid? Bull. Someone knew that man was dead and in some way was benefiting from not letting anyone else find out. Even if he was estranged from his family, if he had people coming in to help him out, SOMEONE would have begun to wonder why they didn't hear from him. This is just too weird to be true, imo.

i'm so sorry which you had to handle that. And take it from somebody who replaced into the two abused mentaly and physicaly the two human beings observed and opt to no longer say something simply by fact they did no longer choose for to get into the midsection of it or they simply had to confirm in case you will possibly come to them. whilst i replaced into abused human beings seen him hit me a did no longer something and once I stated as the police they left in the previous the poilce confirmed up so as that they might not might desire to tell what they observed. some human beings do no longer understand the thank you to handle it. to no longer be nosey or something yet whilst he basically all of the sudden began being abusive after 2 a million/2 years do you think of he might have become in contact in drugs? My X replaced into and he replaced into an alcoholic ... i wish that your going to be ok and in case you opt for for a pal to communicate to you may e mail me . In Columbus, Ohio anything is possible. News channel 10 WBNS, said that his neighbors though that he was in a nursing home or hospitalized. It took his water pipe bursting to get someone to notice he was dead.

That's hard to imagine. It used to be that neighbors watched out for each other. I wonder now about the circumstances by which he was found? My mother passed away in her apartment and was discovered 10 days later. That sent us kids on one heck of a guilt trip....I think she would have liked that.

sounds too odd
no electrical bill/cable bill paid for 1 year and service still on?
Cripes- they threatened to turn off my service when behind 2 months
as for the mail carrier not noticing?- they stop the mail when the mailbox becomes too full to accept more mail

I read that story too.It just shows how apathetic we've become.

But what was really freaky was that he was sitting in front of the television and it was still on.The power was still on after all that time.
