what causes some months to be heavy and others light? is it because you released 2 eggs that month?

It would be good to know your age because when I turned 38 my periods started to do the same thing. Its called peri-menopause. The precurser to menopause and women can start this as early as 35 years old. Don't be scared if you have clotting during the heavy cycle too, it's normal

i could be completely wrong on this but i think it's because your ovaries "take turns" releasing eggs.... like for me, every other period is worse than the others and i've been told that it could just be something about that one side i'm ovulating from. lots of things affect your period though.... one month you could be stressing, or not eating healthy, and the next month you could feel perfectly fine.

I have no idea. But I think It's normal. Just glad that I still have my period then not having them at all. Don't worry.
