Yes, but there is a catch. Once you trade them to diamond and pearl there is this new feature where you deposit six from your game into diamond/pearl and they are let loose in this mini park and you have to find and catch them.

Being a former Pokemon fan... i genuinely hate to declare this dude, yet it fairly is impossible hence of actuality that lots of the video games are on diverse systems. - you may commerce crimson/Blue/Yellow pokemon with the 2nd era Gold/Silver/Crystal version. you basically isn't in a position to bypass stuff that did now no longer exist indoors the previous regardless of the easy actuality that. (I.E. New Pokemon, Pokemon with new strikes that did now no longer exist indoors the previous, dark types, steel types, etc.) - it fairly is impossible to commerce the 1st and 2nd era pokemon with Ruby/Sapphire and Pearl/Diamond relatively hence of actuality of gadget adjustments.) - experience the Nintendo DS is only an up-to-the-minute version of the SP, it fairly is obtainable to commerce pokemon with Ruby/Sapphire to Pearl/Diamond and vice-versa. -
