We bought the ever popular "Tickle Me Elmo" for our kids and it seems to be kind of defective. My sister in law bought one for her kids and its the same way. You push it and he kind of jerks with no laughter and makes a funny buzzing sound. We tried changing the batteries, still does the same thing. The box and the receipt got wet an ruined so I can't take it back to the store. Elmo wasn't in the box when it got wet so he wasn't ruined that way. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem with Elmo.

it sounds as if it has been wet or in a really moist or humid environment, call the 1 800 number and explain the problem to them, you may just have to buy a new one. good luck, desperate housewife with the elmo and the desperositiness!
