I'm not sure exactly what they're called, but they allow a person to type in the birth date of someone they wish to generate an astrological report about and it displays which days are most auspicious, which star-alignment was in place at the time of birth, etc... What is this program called?

The desktop softwares (called Astrology Charting Programs) are complicated to use.
I would recommend getting a Birth Chart made online. You can visit http://www.astrolife.com for FREE birth charts and interpretation.
