I honestly don't know. In a world where alcohol and tobacco are legal, so should marijuana.

I personally believe in legalizing it. People get what they need, the government gets tax money off of it, crime goes down...

Let the people fry their brain cells if they want to.

Because the cotton industry put on a smear and fear campaign in the 1930's to support their lobby to get it outlawed and it worked.

It is a highly addictive drug. It can cause physical problems, including alteration of genetic makeup, resulting in birth defects in the user's children and grandchildren. It causes laziness. It leads to harder drugs.
So, you now ask why alcohol is legal? It is the last legal drug. Maybe it should not be legal. 10% of the US population is addicted to some substance, be it alcohol, prescription drugs, street drugs or ???
