Whether they are gay, loners, somebody in their mid/late 30s single(never married) and childless etc, etc. I mean even if they mean nobody harm they still get ridiculed for being different in America!!! Why do we live in a society of lemmings that all life is a one size fits all?

It's not just the United States (I'm sure that's what you mean when you say America even though it is actually a term for two continents and pretty much the entire Western Hemisphere). It's anywhere. People feel comfortable with what they know and uncomfortable with what they don't understand. I don't think you can use a blanket statement that everyone in the US ridicules or is ridiculed when a perceivable difference exists.

Also, in some countries people get killed for being different.

Well, of course, we are NOT one size fits all. We, all over the world, are individuals, and we are different. I guess it would be nice if we all fit into a mold, but, we don't. How boring would that be? This is an important lesson to learn: if WE as
Americans do not like being "one size fits all" than we certainly should not judge others in the same way! I believe that
God must LOVE diversity because we are all as[pects of Him.

They aren't! Why do you think they are? Your hanging with the wrong crowd if that's what you hear. I fit some on your categories and I never get ridicululed. I'm a lawyer so I get to hear the lawyers jokes, but what do I care?

Most people are so influence by the media that they lose their individuality. They follow the guides that society tells us to lead, such as getting married by a certain age, dressing a certain way etc..

Here everyone thinks they're better than someone else and SOMEONE to ridicule to make themselves feel better about themselves. I'm disgusted by this and that's why I'm moving one day to a less superficial and judgemental place.

No matter where you go what you do when you do it or how you do it. YOU WILL get judged and ridiculed. It's human nature and if you ever find a place that's not like that let me know.

I think it's because we some people have nothing better to do.
I hate the fact that people hate things that are different.
Why can't people be more opened-minded?

Because people ridicule things they either fear or don't understand. Don't take it personally, just consider the source.
