I live wit my best friend but she's more like my sister but lately all she's been doin is complaining about her relationship problems becuz she keeps finding these guys that cheat on her. i finally just started dating 3 mnths ago and I really like him, he makes me happy and she act as if she's jealous of everything I get, relationships and material things because my mom has a decent amount of money and she occasionally gives me sum money to pay a bill or buy new shoes, she's just helping me out, after all I am her youngest child, living on my own, working two jobs, and the only child in college, why wouldn't she help me? Then i notice that whenever i mention my boyfriend she changes the subject but when she talks about her problems she expects me to get excited. Can u tell me what i should do?

Your friend needs counselling. You see, we teach people how to treat us.
If she'd had just one cheating boyfriend that's one thing. But she keeps doing the same dance with a different partner. SHE is the problem here. Why is it she chooses men that will not remain faithful to her?
This causes insecurity which in turn causes jealousy. Until she gets help, she will keep repeating this pattern all her life, making those around her miserable, which will make her more insecure & bitter. It's a vicious cycle.

There are GOOD, FREE agencies ( or low cost) in your comminuty; a lot of times funded by United Way. Have her get in touch with one. PLEASE.

Its difficult to deal with a jealous person. First always treat her with love and respect. Because those are the things that you would like in return. Sit down with her and have a heart to heart talk with her and tell her she makes you feel upset all the time and negative. You are sorry that everything is going badly for her right now, but if she changed her attitude and became more positive, smile and just be lovable then she would attract that same kind of person. Try you best, but you have to ask her to stop being jealous it makes you feel upset that you are happy and does she really want you to feel unhappy? if she is descent she would not. Take care Heather

First you have to understand that someone who is jealous of you and uninterested in your life is not a friend at all. Once you understand this you will have your answer on what to do.

Your question sounds sort of bitter/spitful to me.
