if a guy is in good shape and has a good body can he get away with wearing a speedo on the beach?

YES YES AND YES. I am SOOO SICK of everyone, especially the good looking people, covering up! I am from Brazil and all the guys wear "speedos" and the girls wear skimpy bikini's (many times thongs). I mean if you have it SHOW IT!! the era of hiding ones body in shame should be over but instead it seems to be coming back:((.

Sure, you can wear anything you want at the beach - but are you trying to accomplish something? (i.e. getting women to notice you..)
Then not the "bikini" style ... You'll catch attention all right - but not in the way you'd want.
I've notice that there is is style of speedo's that are tighter fitting than traditional swim trunks and are a bit more of a "short short" style, but don't seem as "obvious" as an old-school speedo bikini. Or the speedo jammers that come down long would be okay!
Now that might turn heads!

If you want to wear a speedo, then by all means do. I don't see a problem with wearing them, as long as you aren't pasty white, covered in hair, have tan lines, have no package or have a monster package. =)

no guy can wear a speedo. it doesn't matter if the are the sexiest guy on eartj. speedos are disgusting and and flatter NO man.

they arent very in fashion anymore to be truthful but if you have a great body, i'm sure you could wear anything that suited you

In the U.S. it might be more frowned upon than most other countries, but if you're confident in your appearance, don't let anyone stop you.
