They will put you in a dressing gown, and lift it over your knees or to your waist. Forceps I have no Idea. I only had a two hour labor and ten min. delivery. When the time comes you will not care where the dressing gown is, believe me.

Never had a forceps delivery. When you are admitted you will have to wear a gown so yes you will have to remove your skirt or dress. Are you nervous about doing this? You will forget all of this when you feel contractions and you are ready to push. I wish you the best of luck and congratulations.

It is really your choice but I would not have a forceps delivery. It looks like it could hurt the baby. I would remove your clothes when haveing the child because in the end you get really bloody!!

You normally wear a hospital gown and you can usually keep it on, But in my experience with the birth of both my boys we left the top of the gown untied so when they were born they could be placed right on my chest and recieve the warmth of my body to help stabalize their body temperatures. Sorry I didnt have any forcep deliveries. Good Luck.

Yes you have to remove your clothes..When you go to the hospital they will give you a gown to put on...as for a forceps delivery they only do it if it is absolutely necessary....Good Luck!
