the only thing a rational "smart" person will tell you is that you have to wait. There simply isn't any way to grow 3" in one night dear.
How old are you? Are your parents tall? Do you have tall siblings?
Pretty much everything depends on the genes you inherited.
Eat healhy, stay active, get fresh air and proper rest, and you will grow to be the exact height you were meant to be :)
The only alternative to gaining height fast is high heeled shoes.

If you go to your doctor and be sure to insist on the seriousness of your inquiry, they can either obtain or refer you to someone who can prescribe and monitor your taking a daily 'growth hormone'. The more knowledge you have for your doctor, the better. You would be amazed at how quickly they can brush off your requests unless YOU have done YOUR research. This is the only way to be taken seriously. My cousin, Jon, had to take growth hormones. He was having a hard time growing and by the time he was 16 he was still under 5 feet. He managed to get to be 5'7" by the time he turned 18. Take my advice and do your research...start with an online tool like wikipedia.com

There's nothing you can eat, but if you're unusually short, there is a medical procedure you could go through. They give you testosterone (not enough to make you a guy, chill) and it makes you grow taller.
I think you have to be approved for it, though, as in the doctor has to think you won't reach above 5'0" or something by the time you're 18. I'm only 5'0", but like being short, so I never pursued this.

i don't think that is possible... it depends how old you are if you will grow, but i'm guessing you are at the age where you will be having a growth spurt soon. i'm in ninth grade and i've grown like a foot since the summer before 5th grade. so you may just need to be patient. i understand that it is frustrating to be short-i am only 5'1" and i'm 15 years old! but in the mean time you could just wear some high heels.

Your height is determined by genetics. Try taking a Biology or Human Anatomy and Physiology class, you might actually learn something.

You're right, that is a stupid question. You cannot grow that much overnight. Your body will grow at its own pace and nothing you can do will rush it. Accept yourself for who you are.
