Is man programmed in nature to be frequently procreating? You see in the wildlife programmes (aka David Attenborough) males competing with each other for the females. Well why would they fight each other for this privilege if they were not stressed from the lack of "nookie". It can't all be an ego thing can it?

I don't think so.

It depends on your upbringing and what you do with your life goals and lifestyle.

Not everyone's thinking and life's desires is the same though it can be similar.

It could cause some people psychological stress perhaps because these people could have been exposed to unhealthy thoughts about sex and life during their upbringing and hence an abnormal understanding of life and sex or procreation.

What about the monks and nuns besides those who choose not to marry or have sex in their lifetime. Give a thought about these groups of people and their lifestyle and perhaps you might get a better understanding about life and sex because sex is not the only thing in a marriage and neither our existence on this planet.

Yes, it probably does cause psychological stress, but most of the people I have met who are obviously having trouble this way simply numb out and block it. How they do this is beyond me. I know some people in this situation manifest their stress as good old fashioned irritability. If that doesn't indicate stress, I don't know what would. Possibly anger, as well. You know, a short fuse. Sexual compatibility can also almost immediately reverse this problem, virtually overnight. And I am sure we all know people we have met in our lives who would qualify for this major turnaround. They are not numbed down, they are simply starved, and when you "water" them, they spring back to life again on a million new levels. Thanks for posting a great question. - C.

All men and women are sexual beings. There are some few who for physical reasons can't do what comes naturally, but everyone else should enjoy. Why do some people find it necessary to attach a lot of psychological baggage to a perfectly natural act. As long as both partners agree, what is the problem?

I don't think it is ego. I think you are on the right track. Men, no mater how hard we try not to be are still programed to be hunter gatherers as well we are programed to procreate and not being able to settle that instinct adds stress to ones mind. Lots of people say different but I can see the difference in myself as that kind of thing happens. You can see it in other men if you look close.

During early evolution human mating partners were not always available. Eventually you would have a nocturnal emission if you are young, but Nature could not afford diminishing your effectiveness if you have not had sex.

Yes, and it is not "can" it "will" cause stress. How you channel that stress is what makes you a man. You now have the most powerful energy within you building up and must find some way to direct that energy so as to be a productive positron amongst an objective reality as an objective reality... Can You Handle It?

Absolutely, that's why so many Catholic Priests and Imams end up freaking out with young children.

Sex is good for your health and well being but studies show that men are happier in monogamy (or serial monogamy) relationships.

Sex addicts with multiple partners tend to be unhappier.

Lonely guys who practise on their own tend to be least happy.

Remember sex is a product of intimacy and we are animals with both social and intimate needs.
