Rosenthal (meaning "Rose Valley") is a quite common Jewish family name / surname. But it is not exclusively Jewish. It is also found amongst non-Jewish German families, especially in the Rhineland. Of course, just because they are non-Jewish Germans does not mean that they were Nazis either.
