Well because the other was healthy, she maybe thinking you will be allowed to go into early labor safely because of your first child.
36 weeks is pretty safe.
you most likely will have this one 36 to 40 weeks. I would not think you would go over because of a healthy 8 pound boy at 36 weeks.
But she must have her reasons to think you will with your examination, Maybe this child is larger also.

I hope that is the case. My first came at 36 1/2 weeks and was
5 lbs 12 ozs but totally healthy. Fast delivery. Less than 5 hrs. And I have been having such a hard time with this pregnancy. Bad morning sickness, vomiting, loseing weight, gallstones with very bad attacks. So I am very ready to have this one. My second boy. I am 33 weeks and 3 days and hope to go early again. My OB said if I went into labor at 35 weeks they would not stop me. I just feel like I may go early with him. I have heard of second babys being longer but who knows. Good luck

they maybe telling you this to prepare you for maybe a early birth as they probably got your dates wrong the first time round thats why you think you had your son early not everything is accurate in life babies come when they are ready both my sons came two days early but then when i had my daughter was late and i had to be induced go figure and they say its boys that are lazy lol but with your son he was a good weight at 36 weeks so to make sure that you dont have a difficult and stessful time in labour this time as if they leave you to go fullterm you may have another big baby and struggle giving birth naturaly so they donot have to give you an emergency c section i hope this helps and i hope everything goes ok good luck

Well, my 1st came on his due date, my 2nd came 4 wks early, and my 3rd came 4 wks early. I'm now pregnant and my OB wants me to get help with my kids 2 months before I'm due so I am less likely to have him/her early. I've been asking others about this, and one friend told me that her OB gave her a stitch to help prevent her having an early labor. It worked. When they took the stitch out a week before her due date, she went into labor. I haven't asked my OB about this option yet. Since your first baby came early and was healthy, I don't think you need to be too concerned. My 1st and 2nd were healthy, but #3 spent 10 days in the ICU - never life threatening, but needed to get his lungs developed -he was 6-12oz, so not as big as yours, but good sized. I hope that helps. Best of luck to you!!!!

I wouldn't expect it.. each child is different. My first son came at 37 weeks, my next son I had to be induced, and now i'm expecting my third child.. which I'm hoping comes early.. but you never know. I don't know why your doc would tell you that... each baby is different and so I wouldn't expect a month early.. but just be prepared just in case this one is an early bloomer too.. goodluck

My sister-in-law's first baby came 3 weeks early (just over 5 pounds). Her second was born right on time (scheduled c-section, since the first was also a c-section).

i'm in easy terms on changed bedrest. it incredibly is uninteresting. I watch television and am on the information superhighway all day. I study to the toddlers in mattress besides. I additionally watch my 5 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous niece and she or he gets testy with me at cases, it is confusing. i'll could end watching her quickly. i'm thinking at 28 weeks. Do you have acquaintances that could help you, or maybe you may get a factor time babysitter. evaluate a mommy's helper a preteen or teen who you could hire after college and by using spring wreck and summer time trip. you will pay them a sprint money and that they are chuffed, they are additionally nonetheless under your supervision. each and every so often they are in a position to earn woman scout badges and stuff for doing that style of artwork.
