When I was in elementary school we learned how to Line Dance. We learned the Watermelon Crawl and the Bart Dance. My little sister, when she was in elementary school, they learned the Cha Cha. Not the actual dance. Its the name of the song, its really kool, the song itself tells you what to do.

The kids really like it. I was working at an elementary school last year and the kids were doing it for P.E. and they loved showing off their dance moves.

I don't know about grades 4-8. They're still in the awkward phase. I don't have any suggestions off the top of my head, but you could try:

or

they both have a ton of dance tapes and dvds ranging from super beginner to super advanced. I wish you the greatest luck. I hate teaching dance to 4-8 graders, and they're there willingly...

Try renting a dance instructional video. I heard a really good one with simple moves and a variety of styles is I think like Champion Dance Moves or something similar.
Good Luck!
