It depends on when your last visit was. If you went prior to 2005, your tickets will be good forever. You don't lose any value on them and they never expire. When you go to Disney, they will just need to check the ticekts in the system, make sure they work or give you the new tickets, etc. These tickets don't expire and you can still use them and continue to use them for years to come, until your days are used up.
If you have gone after 2005, or in 2005 (you will want to check with Disney) the tickets will have expired. Unless you paid extra for the no-expiration option, they will have expired 14 days after you first used the tickets. If you have the no-expiration option, you can use them just like the old tickets until the days are gone.
If you aren't sure of when you went, or if you have the no-expiration option, you can call Disney (I believe the number is on the ticket) or ask when you are at the ticket counter, and they can check for you.
Hope this helps!

-How is it? One word; CROWDED. I don't know if you're going the week of Christmas or like the week before or after. If you go the week before Christmas week it will probably be crowded but not extremely crowded like it will be the week of or the week of New Years. They have a lot of holiday activities and stuff and a lot of people want in on that. Since a lot of people have vacations during this time period and kids are out of school a lot of people will be there. However, I suggest going the first week of January. It's still warm, the Christmas decorations will still be up, and they still have their winter parade going on. We went one year, and I have to say, I liked that time of year so much better than all the other times. -It defiantly won't be as hot as the summer and not near as humid. It will, however, at least be 70 degrees just about everyday. Unless some freak winter thing happens, it should never get below 65 degrees. -Honestly every ride is great and fun to ride. Personally, I'd just hit every ride I possibly could.

Yes, the ones I have are good for life, but they deteriorate in value. I have some from my honeymoon 20 years ago and I called Disney World to check on getting new tickets. I had (2) 3-day passes and we only used 2 days. They would only give me a fraction of the value. It wasn't worth it because I wanted to keep them for souvenirs.
Apparently the newer ones can not be done this way.

go with tech fan.... tickets purchased now and from this past summer will not be valid - you will want to call and check. now my ticket from 1984 IS still valid. disney realized that they were loosing tons of moeny and coudn't takethe losses. for example - that 5 days ticket i have from 84 was only 69.50 - approximately the price of a one day ticket now!!

With all of the incorrect answers to your question I just wanted to back up Tech-fanatics post. And I wanted to add ,,if your tickets still have usable days they will stay valid with no extra charges for life.

think you have 12 months on them, check before hand with disney just to make sure. you don't want to get there and for them to tell you that they're not valid anymore

if you purchased them with "no expiration" option, they would be good.
