I ask this because it seems likely that a man as creative as walt disney would have hidden something in his themepark, he seems to have a great interest in adventure and pirates etc. so it wouldnt be to far fecthed to imagine he hid some great tresure somewhere in that themepark. Has anyone heard anything similar to this? after all he was into secret societies and he had his secret club 33 and hidden mickeys throughout the park.

There is no buried treasure in Disneyland, although its a wonderfully imaginative idea. There is also no vault housing his remains.

Walt was cremated - entirely (no frozen head somewhere) and was buried in his family crypt at Forest Lawn. It has never been proven that Walt had an interest in cryogenics, and the science was in its infancy when he died.

Walt was interested in families spending time together. If you look at the films completed before he died, there were a lot more references to princesses than pirates; the recent pirate fixation is the result of the successful film franchise and the park's desire to cash in on it. Walt did work on the Pirates ride before his death and, when asked what his favorite attraction was, it was always the one he was currently working on.

Club 33 is perhaps one of the worst kept secrets of the park, and opened after Walt's death. Hidden Mickey's are the work of the imagineers and not Walt.

No, the only thing buried at Disneyland was the 40th Anniversary Time Castle buried in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle during the Eisner years.

Yes, the buried treasure is found within the hearts of all that go to Disney.
