Jonn, i'd like to put in: the village called. it wants it's idiot back. you CANNOT put people like that, yes, some of them ARE stupid. some are teenagers who get no support at home, etc. maybe you're just
not remembering what it was like. don't judge other people so harshly, or you'll be judged by the same gavel.

Yes it is. But necessarily in order to live in a community we have to relinquish some of our rights for a greater good. Every single law is an infringement on somebody's idea of rights. Meth and cocaine on a society-wide level cause huge problems. Many individuals would be able to handle them fine, but for the greater good of society as a whole (especially since we often pay for other people's screw-ups) we have to ban them. If people could do those drugs and relinquish all their access to healthcare, welfare and every other benefit of living in society that would cause their use of those drugs to be a burden on others, then that would be much more fair, but I think that would be a little too complicated for our structure to handle.

I'm not sure that this is an answer, but more of a thought. Abortion is legal based on the fact that people should have control over their body.I do not understand why that is not applied to drugs also. It needs to be one way or the other. If we have right of choice in what happens to our body's, then that should be the bottom line. I have the right to terminate a life but not to smoke a joint?

No. Cocaine & meth are adictive, harmful drugs. Harmful to the person taking them & could be harmful to others who are around them.
A person who takes them is an infringement to my human rights! I should not have to pay for their rehab, counciling, housing while getting back on their feet etc. Especially since they chose to take these drugs knowing what would probabley happen to them. Also they will go to any lenghts to get the money to obtain these drugs, including taking anothers money & at times life it's self!

Human rights I am not sure about. But in my opinion it does go against life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. find and read the book "Nobodies business If I do" subtitles "the absurdities of consensual crimes in a free society. Why should it be against the law as long as the only person being hurt by it is the person doing the action?

No , and anyone that manufactures these hardcore drugs, especially methamphetamines, should be charged with creating a catastrophic event.I had a neighbor who was on meth about a year ago ,and they came pounding on my door at 3;30 in the morning telling me "he knows what i did,i should just admit it' for his delusions I was banging his fat wife.Which is atleast 20 years older than me. Luckily I have a conscience and saw he was on very serious drugs and was delusional, so I controled my anger..I told him he was mistaken ,and after talking for 5 min., thought I got the truth into his head..Then I woke up for work at 8;30 in the morning to leave for work and he was pacing the streets in front of his house.,obviously still disturbed..He went to walk to my door and my dogs started to bark and he turned back to his house. So I went out and asked him what his fu%^ing problem was.He told me "I already know, just tell me'.I finally explained everything, that I was 20 years younger,I had a girlfriend, and I wasnt banging his wife..I asked him if he was on ice...being as he was still as wide awake as he had been at 3;30 in the morning. He said him and his wife were fighting all night..He couldnt even stay still one bit...He finally realized how delusional he was and apoligized for everything...I think he obviously needed some intervention...Knowing he was on parole I didnt want to call the cops, because I dont like to cause problems, especially if its all just a delusional misunderstanding. And the cops make problems worse and would have thought I was delusional.Because it is that out of this world..Him and his wife now have lost at least 100 pounds each within about six months. And its not from trimspa..Its sad to see a human being be that out of touch with reality...Thats just one person thats on meth..I also had an old friend of mines' mother commit suicide because she couldnt get away from the meth addicts thatt dont even care about human life...I talked to her a year before and she wasnt even the same person I knew growing up...The addicts that were around her had her so brainwashed, that she chose them over her own kids....Sad.

No. Drugs cause people to hurt themselves and others. If people could do drugs and not affect anyone else, then it would be legal. The truth is that people have all the right to make themselves happy, however, once that happiness infringes upon another's right, it is then illegal.
