Would the yamaha yz250f be good for trail riding??

Hi i am looking to buy a yz250f but i want a bike that doesnt have lots of problems with it, maitenance etc...

Yes it would be a great bike. You get pretty much two bikes in one because you can do motocross and trail. Plus the motocross bike is faster that the trail bike. Its made for speed, its pretty much the same but stiffer suspension.

I had a Honda CR 250 and they are great racing bikes, like the YZ 250 is too. For trail riding with friends and family out in the woods or hills, I would advise a four cycle bike over a two cycle bike though, two stroke engines simply require more maintenance than four strokes. The YZ 250 is an AWESOME and POWERFUL racer indeed!
Hey, I just reread the question and you say YZ250F: Been awhile since I was an avid enthusiast; does the F mean four cycle/stroke? If so, hell yeah, buy that bad boy!

For a fast and aggressive rider, yes it would be great. For a more moderate rider, a wr would be a better choice. All newer bikes are pretty reliable of they are maintained properly.

personally i don't think it would be, it is a motocross racing bike ud be alot better to go for the Yamaha wr 250 that's a trail bike..
