To be wiser in thoughts and words and actions. To think before I speak and sometimes to say nothing at all. To not overreact. To be able to take criticism without defensiveness and learn from others so that I make fewer mistakes myself. To be more loving. To be less fearful. To respect people for who they are and not expect more. Not to judge or assume anything of anyone.

But I fear that if I succeeded in changing many of these things, that I would no longer be myself..... because my imperfections make me who I am. xx

Two things: I would take better care of my teeth, and secondly, I would go and take the road test which would enable me to have a driver's license. The teeth thing is a money thing. I do not have the funds right now, so the teeth have to wait. The driver's license is just a matter of finding courage within myself or getting to the point where I don't give a darn about the outcome - and then going for it and doing it. Teeth and being able to drive a car - at 63 years old, these are my two main issues which I would love to nail.

I would be more assertive, some people in my life mistake my kindness for a weakness, they take advantage and walk all over me. Not sure how I can change this, maybe I should put my foot down more and speak my mind.

easy. i was raped when i was 19, and spent over 20 years being afraid after that. ("normal" reaction, but still...) i would've made myself face the fear long, long, long before this, so i wouldn't have given 20 years of my life to that jerk.
