i had a septate hymen where theres a line of membrane or whatever it is down the middle and i cut the middle bit in two. i did it with scissors that id cleaned with boiling water. but now theres just 2 bits hanging. im really embarrassed and dont want to go to the docs, i feel so stupid. iv been on antibiotics anyways. what should i do?

well i did it coz it was really annoying when getting tampons in and out they kept getting stuck n stuff. i kno it was stupid, guess it was a moment of impulsiveness.
docs tomorro or gum clinic thurs?

Dont worry the doctor has seen EVERYTHING. Believe me.
Your thang aint nothing to them.
Remember their Professionals. Whats the worst that can happen? Its better to go and see whats wrong with you than to do nothing cause ur embarrassed.

You need to go to a doctor to have it properly removed. Serious infection can set in if the ends of the wounds do not heal properly. Not all antibiotics cover every area. There are bugs in the pelvic area requiring specific antibiotics. Please go, be embarrassed for a little while then laugh about it, we all do silly things at some time in our life. Can be done in Gynaes rooms under local anaesthetic sometimes.

that was probably the single most stupidest thing you could have done. What on earth would make you do that? I would have recommended goig to an ob/gyn doctor to have it looked at. They could have determine proper course of action if it was that bothersome.
I really think you need to go to a doctor now to see if there is any infection, do you need a tetanous shot, etc.
In the future try not do medical procedures on yourself. That is what doctors are for.

sooo long ago... well I had the same thing and also sterilized a pair of scissors... used antibiotic gel on the site... and nothing bad happened. The excess tissue also shrank back... If you were to have noticed infection... swelling etc... definitely see a doctor... of course this happened 8 years ago for you...

That was not a smart thing to do! You could have injured yourself or worse infection could have set in! You SHOULD go to a gyn. She has seen it all.
