Slavery is a bit tougher to deny than something like the holocaust, especially since slavery in America lasted a long time and slavery in the world still exists. But it wouldn't surprise me too much if there were people who did deny it. After all, there are people in the US who think Earth is flat!

Slavery did indeed happen. In fact every group in the world has been slaves and owned slaves at some point in their history. In America their is a mistaken view that only African Americans were Slaves this is narrow minded and wrong. Just look at all the Slaves the Romans took or the Arabs of northern Africa. Many of those were white Europeans.

Go to the Sudan and see it 1st hand for your selves. I am glad we don't have it in the US, but I truly don't have much of a moral problem with slavery just like most Americans including Blacks for if we did we would raise an army and go into the Sudan and stop it. But as I said we morally don't have a problem with it. Maybe if I saw it hear I would but (I think it kind of sad) I am just too apathetic about the whole thing. You just can right every ill in the world one person can only do so much.

Of course slavery happened and unfortunatly for Mia it happened to EVRYONE including white europeans. There were White-European slaves here in America, in Europe, in Australia, and in Asia. Sorry, but there were victims everywhere and from every nation.

I hope anyone old enough to read a history book would not be so stupid as to say it did not happen. It is one of our most shameful things to happen in our history. It was done here in America not a foreign country. Many of us lived thru segregation, ask your grandparents and I am sure they could give you plenty of details as to how life was different and how far we have come. We have a long way to go still. When questions like this are posted it shows how far we need to go.
