does anybody else think the army is nice? really nice?

me, my brother, and his girlfriend were going to a friend's house, when the car broke down. it was kinda out in the boonies (like everything around here) we went to a house down the road and called up my dad to come and see what was wrong, he finally came a half hour later, then the canadian military came, they just came from a parade in a town 30 minutes away. all 4 trucks pulled over, and 2 pretty girls got out first, then about 6 guys and they helped us push the car next to my dad's car. they were really nice and they looked around under the hood to check what was wrong, the girl made a sugdestion about the starter, that was probably the problem and she was right. then after a while after the car started the left and we wished them good luck with everything. they were really nice and had good manners.

Thanks for posting some of the GOOD things that those in the Military are doing .. and yes, those of us who serve in the Services of our countries do help those in need .. and volunteer in many areas .. including situations like this.

As a sibling to those still serving (US Army) and as a Military Retiree Myself ... I am glad to see this.

Remember, there are good and bad elements in any society .. and just like in the general population, there are those who are selfish, and those who will go out of their way to help others. Most of the folks I've met during my own Military Service are willing to go out of their way to volunteer to help those in need, but there are a few selfish ones in the lot too. Unfortunately, I've seen more selfishness and unwillingness to help in the general population overall.
