You come to a cross road. You have two choices. You can either turn left or right. Once you have made your choice you can't go back now. Which do you choose?

I'd look down both roads and see what looked like the nicer walk and what looked like the best destination (if I could see it). I'd show a preference for the road that didn't have loads of people already on it, the road with trees or countryside, the journey with a good view, that sort of thing. Failing that I'd choose something incredibly short term like "which one will I have to walk with the sun in my eyes?"

If there genuinely was no way to distinguish between the two routes I would find a way of letting chance decide, such as tossing a coin. I don't have a "lucky" side or anything.

Last time I had this choice in real life I was on holiday in Cyprus, so thanks for bringing back a lovely memory for me! I could turn right and walk downhill to a quaint little village or turn left and walk on the flat (sideways along a hill) past an orchard towards the sea and a little church. I picked left because a) I'd be coming back the same way and I didn't want to walk uphill on the way back, b) the left one had more shade, and c) while the village might have had a shop where I could buy a drink, I had stupidly not brought any money out with me.

It would depend on why I was on the road, was I running away from something , moving on or just ambling along.

If I was running away I would turn right back as you cant run away from yourself and problems just follow you.

If I was moving on then I would go in the direction of the sun , warmer climates make me feel good and everyone likes to feel good.

If I am just ambling then I would turn right probably more out of habit then anything else. Take enough right turns and I would end up back home anyway so why worry.

The answer to this question depends on my direction of travel and my intended destination.

If I was traveling East, from California, and intended to arrive in New York, I would appropriately turn Left.

However, if I was leaving Sodom, I mean Las Vegas, traveling East and intended to arrive in a moral town like Birmingham AL, I'd turn Right.

I would go left, It is easier in the uk to turn left then make a right turn if you are driving.

Wouldn't a cross road have a straight on option? ;)
