I've gone home with only one shoe of the pair I started off wearing when I went out... I was wearing a new pair of Nike's and was in a shoe shop trying on a pair of smart shoes for work when some a**ehole came in off the street and stole the one trainer that I'd taken off to try the new shoe on... bought the new shoes and wore them home (with shorts cos it was summer, looking very attractive as you can imagine) and the remaining trainer in a carrier bag!

I'm so glad you asked this question, I have often wondered the same thing. We had a villa built in Spain and every time we came over from the U.K. to inspect it we always found one odd shoe on the site. It became a standard joke with our friends and one of our friends even took a photograph which he had framed for us as a joke ! ! !

Yes, when I was about two I was in my pushchair and my parents had just bought me some new expensive maroon shoes (it was the early 80s, maroon was cool) and I kicked one off. My Dad went searching all over everywhere for it but he didnt find it. When I think about it, i still feel really guilty.

That happened to me in primary school, I was playing football, and I booted the ball over the fence, my shoe came off with it, luckily I got my shoe back =)

Great minds think alike, I've often wondered about that myself. It was probably left there by the man that has only one sock. He's the one that keeps loosing the other sock in the dryer.
