Rotisserie or Roto is an accumulation of stat categories throughout a season. Typically they are 4 or 5 hitting categories and the same number of pitching categories. The scoring is based on how your entire team performs in those stat categories and your league position is determined by how your team is performing compared to the other teams. If everyone on your team has has hit 100 HR's and the players on everyone elses team have hit more, you will be in last place for just that category.
The scoring system is typically based on each stat category starting at 12 points (12 team league), so if you your team has the most HR's you get 12 points for that category, if you have the fewest you get 1 point. The total points are added from your position in all stat categories to determine your position in the league. So it is possible to win a league and not have the most points in all categories or in any categories.

Hope that helps

Each statistical category has a number of possible points that corresponds to the number of teams in the league. So, if you have 12 teams in the league and your team had the most homeruns, then you get 12 points for that category. If you have the 5th most homeruns you get 8 points. It works the same way for all categories and goes throughout the season. Whenever there is a tie in a category, the points are split. So, if you're tied for the most homeruns, you and the person you're tied with get 11.5 points as an average of the 11 and 12 spot for the category.

considering the fact which you're in all probability doing it with acquaintances, usually your acquaintances prefer to be aggressive. face to stand is greater competetive than Rotisserie. Rotisserie you are able to take a seat lower back and set your lineup for a week and not examine it yet face to stand you mostly prefer to examine lower back to work out the score of your matchup. In rotisserie, you mostly only earnings or lose a pair of million-2 factors consistent with day.

Basically, stats are accumulative, and points reflect how you rank in stat categories. The other option is head-to-head, where you compete against teams with your stats. To put it simple, rotisserie is competing versus everybody, and head-to-head is competing 1-vs-1 on numbers. (In my opinion, rotisserie is better.)
