If you've never kissed her before, your 1st one should be sweet and gentle. A little more than a quick peck, but nothing too intense, you can build up to that later. A guy friend of mine told me his theory on how to tell if a girl wants you to kiss her and it's actually kind of true...... if you're sitting near her talking and staring at each other, which you probably do a lot of already, reach out and sort of casually play with her hair. (It helps if you're making some comment on how pretty she looks or how you love that piece of hair keeps falling onto her face...don't just reach out and start playing with her hair).
