does anyone know of one?
ie: a ball going around screen or something - maybe a mouse scooting around the screen.
I have seen this a few years ago but nothing since.
My kitten loves trying to chase the mouse arrow around the screen, so thought this would be a good idea.

It is a good idea. The only screensavers I can think of are 3d Motion screensaver and Comet - both are free and don't contain any spyware/adware. They are better than windows own screensavers. You can get them here:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Screensavers/3D-Motion-ScreenSaver.shtml
http://www.xs4all.nl/~remcodek/comet.html

Also have a look at a-hem (excuse my French) bouncy balls
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Other-Desktop-Enhancements/Desktop-Ball.shtml
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Windows-Widgets/Widget-Games/Bouncy-Ball.shtml (this is a widget - you will need the Yahoo widget engine which is free too)

You can also search for "bubbles screensaver" on the Softpedia site - I don't know if these screensavers will entertain your kitten because my cat Hoshi is too old for such nonsense and just looks at me with utter contempt...

I don't know of a screensaver designed specifically to amuse kittens, but the freeware Paintball screensaver at http://www.xs4all.nl/~remcodek/paintball.html should amuse you both. Also, there is a Winamp visualiser of butterflies flying in time to your music that might work
