i just noticed that my carb was leaking gas right by the manifold,i think it might need a new gaskett, is this easy to replace how long will it take.engine is a chevy 350

I'm not Dodgeman but I've worked on many 350 Chevy engines and have three vehicles powered by them. If you're getting gas there, you probably have a bad gasket under the carb. Take the gas line loose and the four nuts loose that hold the carb down and lift it off the manifold. You can get a new gasket at all auto parts stores. You should use the thicker gasket it you have a choice.
Use a little care and you'll be able to do the job is less than an hour.

go to autozone and buy a new gasket.bout an hour of work to do job.Been a certified machenic for about aah.Well i did spend the night in a Holiday Inn once.

hey man ,you,ll have to remove this one to fix it,,it shouldn't take over an hour to do this advance has the gasket you,ll need for this one,just take them the model number of the carb,and thy ,ll know the rest of it,and be careful when tighten it back up,do it evenly and it should be alright,good luck with it,hope this help,s.
