The older you get, the MORE taxes you have paid, that go to support all those lazy SOB's that won't get off their behinds and work.

Growing up I knew no one but White, Catholic/Protestant/Jewish people--and that was in the Bronx, NYC. It was not until high school that I met people of other races and cultures--and it did take some time getting used to, but I learned that others were, for the most part, the same as everyone I'd already known.

The first place I worked in Manhattan was at The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, which hired almost all white people of the Catholic or Protestant faiths for the couple of years that I was there.

When I married, I moved to the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx, where it was primarily white--except for the "projects"--which no one went near, as we had the beaches right where we lived.

So, basically, it was not until later in my life (other than high school) that I had any neighbors or friends who were of other cultures or colors. Now, I know hardly any white people...

That's interesting, and it can work both ways.....I have met people who were raised racist and said after moving out of there parents homes they realized that they did not agree with the bigotry, and their are some who take the bigotry and run with it....I think it has more to do with a person ability to think for his/her self.....

and sometimes its a temp. environment that causes people to cross over to racism, ONLY because of that present environment (struggling economy, slow creation of jobs, community services cut backs, war, world tensions) can take a fair, rational person and push their views to the other side.....
