a true drift car will have the front and rear brakes controled from different points. some chose the parking break, others chose a second pedal to control the front breaks. the point is to break the rear wheels free in order to slide threw the corner.

Obviously, you have never drifted, so be very careful and practice in safe areas before you try it arround people.

go into the corner hot, when it is comfortable to punch the gas, pull your parking break lever at the same moment. you will spin the first few times untill you get used to doing it, unless your car doesn't have the power to do it, than you will just need to get a good turbo.

if you have a front wheel drive, buy a new car.

First off, before you do it for real, practise in an isolated large area for safety as it'll take a lot of practise....This works best for a front engined, rearwheel drive car (Nissan 200zx, Nissan Silvia, etc.).
Drive forward about 25-30 mph.. Keep car in 2nd gear. When revs rise to around 4000-4500, flick steering to left (For a left drift) or right ( For a, you know, right drift). Straight away, pull the handbrake sharply until you feel the rear of the car start to break away from you. Steer into the skid then feed in the power to make the rear wheels spin.Dont jump on the accelerater pedal - you'll only end up facing the other way! Using a combination of progressive steering and throttle control, and a lot of practise (Hence the warning to find a largeprivate space), you will be able to hold that drift for awhile or until the rear tyres burst or you go blind from the tyre smoke. You can buy aftermarket rear differentals that make it even easier to do this buy transferring power to the outside spinning wheel. Note, if your car is frontwheel drive you'll only succeed in kicking out the back of the car..

i don't know why you would use your e-brake in a snow drift , you want to power through them or avoid them

if you pull the e-brake up it will apply the brakes to the rear wheels
