can you choke to death on an ice cube?? or would it melt before you suffocate?

i doubt it would stick being so slippery, but if it did, pour a whisky down after it you may as well die with a smile on your face, cheers....

I'm sure that you would only choke for maybe a minute. The ice would start melting and it would probably slip up or down. Plus you can breath around the edges a little bit. Once you started choking your throat would get inflamed due to the extra blood rushing to where there is iritation. This would accelerate the melting. I doubt many, if any, have died from an ice cube alone. Maybe the choking gave someone a heart attack though.

of course you will choke on the ice cube because it is in a solid form after all. by the time the ice would have melted you would have already dies because the ice will take a few minuted to melt completly.

If it's a regular size ice cube, you won't. I accidentally swallowed one in my drink (right out of the tray). It hurt like heck going down, made my throat feel freezing, but it slid down right away, no time to get stuck.

the russian mafia used to pack snow into a victim's mouth and nostrils. the victim would die of suffocation. then the snow would melt, leaving no traces of death.

It would probably melt enough to become unlodged then you would violently try to cough it up. Water + lung does not mix. If that ever happens to you I recommend you get upside down somehow so when it melts enough to get unstuck it will slide out naturally.

put one in your mouth and see how long it takes to melt down to a manageable size...you would choke first
