It's not that you can't get rid of the redness, your proberly not trying hard enough. I would start a GOOD skincare regime before u put crap like make up on your face. If drugstore product's don't work for you seek a dermatologist, Pro-active is also great but i found when i stopped using it i broke out all over again...But yes it will work. Try a green primer also like smashbox photo finish color correcting primer in adjust which is green. Though I would steer away from Bare sscentuals, as they contain bismuth which is a common skin irritant. Amazing Cosmetics (available at Ulta and other stores), Aromaleigh, Pure Luxe, and many others are good to look at....just make sure the powder is the EXACT match and blended well...Prescriptives also makes a custom blend foundation which they can add green tints into it to cancel the redness and make it light to full coverage.

I will tell you the truth, while it is "ok" and yes, actors wear make-up, in real life it will be noticeable.

What you really need to do is get to the root cause of the problem and clear it up. Often foods or beverages are causing skin irritation. For redness (such as rosacea) it can be inflamed by dairy products or spicy foods. You might even consider checking with an allergist.

If the redness is not rosacea and is just acne related, using good skin care (and avoiding dairy products!) is essential. Arbonne makes a system for acne (Clear Advantage) that even includes a supplement to heal the skin from the inside! It is very reasonably priced ($66, the skin care will last 4-8 months and the supplement is a one-month supply)

Please visit my site and email me if you have more specific questions, I would be glad to help.

Yes, but why not just use a product called Acne Free to get rid of the acne problem? Keep in mind if you use a green concealer, you have to make sure you don't get green dry patches from the healing acne. You will be able to detect any makeup on a man. If you really want to hide it, try one of those flesh toned blemish concealers.

First thing you need to do is try to figure out what is causing the redness. You should see a dermatologist. My son has eczema, which causes really red patches on his cheeks. He looks like I put blush on him when it flares. He was diagnosed and now we use Elidel when it flares and it clears up really well. If you find out what is causing it, you might not need the makeup. Also, if it is a dermatology problem, makeup could make it worse.
Good Luck.
