A box keeps coming up saying that my computer needs to close all windows due to an error. I have looked at the information in the box and it's always a different file that seemes to be doing it. The computer also keeps turning itself off and it switches to a blue screen right before it shuts down, that says critical system error. What's happening? Do I have a virus or something? Please help!!

Seems like a virus to me. Try booting windows in Safe Mode. When Windows is booting up, hit F12, for most computers, it should say in the upper right corner, you want to go into boot menu. Then select Safe Mode, and run it. And if it works, I suggest running any anti-virus/anti-spyware programs you have. If that doesn't work, you'll need to call someone. If you have a local BestBuy, try calling their Geek Squad. Hope it works.

You should probably just backup what you can and reinstall Windows. There isnt too much help we can give through yahoo :-D. Probably a corrupted system file, a virus, or you are overrun with spyware. Try downloading Spyware S&D or Adaware. If you want to find out if you have a virus, download Avast! Home Edition. Good luck

It sounds like the computer is either corrupted or has a virus. I would run virus scanner, and see if it finds anything. (follow any steps it gives you if it does.) If it doesn't, I would bring the computer in for repair - you don't want to end up losing all your files, or give away confidential information to anyone!

You may have a virus... what it would be doing is "melting". every time this virus runs, it will delete itself and create a copy of itself somewhere else as something else. My suggestion is to have a professional look at it, as most virus scanners probably wont find it because it is a "hobbyist" virus.

Write down the specific error message it is telling you and search for that in Google.
