Where I go to school, everyone dresses the same. I don't like it. Sometimes I do too, and I don't like that either. I want to be different and stand out more. What types of things can I wear that would look good on me? I'm almost 5'7, fairly skinny, size 4 jeans(but I have sorta big hips) I have brown hair that's about the middle of my back. Also, what can I do to my hair? I can't dye it right now because I have competitions with jazz choir/show choir coming up, but I can after those are done.

Oh ya, if it makes any difference, I wear glasses too.

Okay, lets be on the serious side because it sounds like you are sincere.

Hair - Don't "dye" it. Brown hair is beautiful (I am blond, so I am not being presumptuous) Try getting it cut in long layers, just below your shoulders. Then add some light brown highlights.

It sounds like you have a nice shape, size four with hips, lucky! Girls always want to be "skinny", but they don't realize that a nice shape is what counts. Find outfits that show off your shape while still being modest. Find out what colors look best on you and use them. If money is an issue, you won't believe the great outfits you can get at second-hand stores. Also, bee on the lppkout at the big department stores for their clearance sales.

Glasses: I have worn glasses since seventh grade; have you tried contacts? I started wearing the disposable ones several years ago and I love them. I don't mind glass, but you need to really find a pair that looks good on you and doesn't hide your face. A great place is www.39dollarglasses.com. You can actually get your glasses, complete with percription lenses for $39! I did it and so has a lot of my friends.

Make-up: I only wear natural, mineral, powder foundation, a little blush to tint my cheeks and mascara. Since I have blond eyelashes, I need color on my lashes. I rarely wear shadow unless it is a special occasion.
Biggy - Always wear lipstick. But not your normal lipstick, splurge for the Loreal lipstick that stays on. Find a color that just enhances your natural lip color and put it on the morning. It will still be on at bedtime. I started using that two years ago and love it. I wear it every day it is is amazing how it makes me look great.
I get compliments all the time and it does not come off on things, or anyone!

Good luck!!

you sound like a beautiful girl. Don't try to change if you're already great. In my expirience, you will regret dying your hair in the long run. I don't know, you could try wearing contacts or go shopping and try on a bunch of clothes to figure out what style you like best. In my opinion, you sound fine right now dont stress about it.

Forget the clothes and the hair. If you really want to be different and stand out more, get yourself a boyfriend who is NOT a thug/bad boy. That'll work...trust me.

EVERYONE is unique. Unless you have an exact TWIN, you are allready slightly different. BE YOURSELF. NO ONE DOES this anymore. You will definitely be different. Wear your hair they way YOU want, clothes YOU want, etc. Bet you start a new trend in school !!!
