We have lost around 3 thousand in 4 years. I'd say that's priority #1. We lost over 50 thousand in Vietnam. We lose more people per year in the States from choking on ham sandwiches than 4 years in Iraq.

There is nothing straight forward about this war. The threads of cause and effect here are grotesque. I wish it was just to help people but I don't believe those soldiers are really dying for that reason, even if in their hearts they are.
I see it as being all about control. You gotta know something is wrong when the press are so controlled that they are self sensoring!
I think we all need to have a better look at our democratic process in the US and Canada. Take a good look at the 'spin' machine.
Even if I don't know who it is working for I know it's wrong, oh so wrong. Our best protection as citizens is to have free access to as much information as possible critically viewed.
To sum it up, it is all a power struggle. It has nothing so much to do with caring about people as it does about keeping people on side for ones own purposes.
It is a sad world. They keep us drenched in whatever distraction serves them best.

Casualties are an unfortunate fact of war, and the military is a dangerous profession, during wartime or peace. The eight years of Clinton's presidency saw more military deaths than the first 6 of Bush's presidency.

War is war, and some die. Do you think he should start handing out flowers to the enemy, and ask them kindly not to kill us? These people HATE freedom, and they HATE us! They HATE their own people! Don't you understand?????? When you fight, you fight to KILL. They don't want FREEDOM in their country. They want whatever, and whoever doesn't follow their belief, DEAD. You got that that, yet? Hence Terrorism, Man, and the death's of innocent people BEFORE the Iraq war started.
