Not only did he go AWOL,he was absent over 60 days, which makes him a freakin' deserter! He started his criminal career before that when he got arrested for DUI in the early seventies! And it was Nixon who granted amnesty to the draft dodgers, geegee, so now you're on the right page.

It is unfortunate that the statement of one sycophant who lied about the Campaign Squadron having IBM Selectric II typewriters (they had the best of everything first), has been twisted into evidence that Bush was not a deserter. He was, and is.
Kerry, while also a member of the same satanic cult at Yale, the Skull and Bones (aka Boners), at least did see service in combat and was decorated.
I put 30 years into our Army, and really object to an AWOL cretin attacking people who did their duty. Also object very strongly to people wh have never been closer to combat than their television setting themselves up in judgment of those who have been there.

A lot of the elite get out of military duty-especially Vietnam. The nasty thing was GW pretending he's served equally to Vietnam vets. And not saying a word while they trashed Kerry, who did serve. That opened a door we will never be able to close again. War veterans are fair game too. That is the saddest thing.

Bush did not go AWOL during the Vietnam war. His Father called in a few favors, he was never sent to Vietnam. Many of our youth during that war went to Canada thus avoiding the draft. Even those who had received draft notices went to Canada to get out of the war. When Reagan was President he gave them all amnesty. So, even though he is sending our young to Iraq & Afghanistan, he techinally did nothing more wrong than did thousands of others. Please, don't think that I approve of what he or the others did, I wonder myself how he can so blithely send others to do what he would not do.

Yes, I do. He has no problem sending more and more troops out to die while he sits back eating filet Mignon and sipping wine in the safety of the White House.

Despite all the hue and cry from you people, the fact is that Bush did NOT go AWOL. You can shout it until your dying day, and you'd still be wrong.
There is no proof that Bush did not complete his ANG service, completely and honorably.
This AWOL BS has been thoroughly debunked.

I think John kerry is a fine example of someone wanting
to get out of the Military desperately!!! What an extremist!
Why don't you join the military & see what it's like first so
that you can talk? Right now you look pretty strange posting
such a silly question.
