I think that it all depends on the individual, someone can be very young but mentally mature and visa versa. If some one gives you what you need emotionally (and of course physically!), than age should not be a barrier. If it feels right and you are happy than there isn't a problem.
The only problem I have encountered with friends in age difference relationships is that the older person can tend to become insecure, if that's the case than communication is key.
Hope this helps x

Yes & no. My husband is 8 years older than me but it makes no difference as we are both adults. If we had met and started a relationship when I was 16 then the 8 years would have made a big difference in our relationship. It depends on the couple, their maturity & their ages when they meet.

It depends on how much you have in common. I don't have a problem with age diffrence at all. As a matter of fact I'm going younger next. All the guys I've had long relationships with do not like to do the same things I do, but they were 11 to 15 years older than me.Just make sure you enjoy doing the same things as a couple.

I believe that if you both connect in a way that makes both of happy then it should not matter what age either of you are.
Don't get me wrong it has to be legal, which most couples are anyway, so if you make each other happy then who cares what the age gap is.
Age is only a number, it does not define a relationship between two people.

Not really, although it can obviously make a difference if one person is extremely young and/or under 16. As you become older, an age difference in a relationship becomes less of an issue and less apparent. Love conquers all.

It depends what age you are! And the size of the age gap
If you are 15 going out with a 26 year old then I'd say yes it does!!
But if you are 30 going out with a 40 year old, then no it doesn't (in my opinion anyway)

A 20 and 40 yr old getting together probably have a lot in common and really enjoy life. 20yrs on the 40 yr old is 60 and although not by any means an oldie doesn't want to do the things they did at 40......that type of issue has to be taken in to consideration. Just one example.

It depends on how big the age difference is. If a girl is like 20 & her boyfriend is 40, then I see something wrong with it.
Tip: If the guy/girl you're with is old enough to be your parent, then it's messed up.

Well it makes a difference only if the y people in the relationship think so. because who cares what other people think about it. And also just make sure thery are willing to ahve the people around them stare at them. But life goes on. and Of course love doesn't care how old you are.

Only to people that are shallow minded & insecure maybe about what they feel others may have to say......I'm 51 & my husband of 5.5 years is 27, we've been together for nearly 8 years now & couldn't be happier.....age differences are not what cause people to break up.....look at the answer above mine for example....it says when you reach 60 you don't want to do what you did at 40...what a load of b*llocks....loads of people in their 20's are boring old farts...it's not old age that causes us to stop living...it's letting ourselves go & not keeping things exciting...if your partner shows signs of not aging into a typical oldie, then I don't think you have anything to concern yourself with Babe....be happy & good luck...
