Why is it that Democrats and Liberals preach that they are so accepting, like to the gay community, but can't accept people like Republicans, and Christians? Let me know this has always been a puzzler to me.

The funny thing by not tolerating the intolerant. the left is being intolerant. Most facists in todays world are Islamic and Communistic - Socialistic. The Religious Schools do better in standard tests then liberals say "They have more money". But the liberals will not even try it.

Interesting question. I am a liberal, yet went to catholic school for 12 years, served in the military and worked in law enforcement for 15 years. So I guess that makes me a liberal working in a conservative world. The type of Christian you are referring to in my opinion are the most hateful, prejudiced people I have ever come across in my life. Not only that they are very hypocritical and most of them are living in the closet. The ones I have come across have sexuality issues themselves. You know what they say "Thou doest profess too much" As far as republicans. Once again it is the type of republican you are referring to. The extremist, neocon who is for the abolishment of the U.S. Constitution and would rather see a dictator in power rather than a president. The republicans who rule on peoples fear disgust me. The same with the Christians who instill fear. How can it be a loving God yet a hateful God. Make up your mind. Which is it?
As far as the Gay community they are some of the best people I have ever met in my life. Why would someone choose to be gay knowing there are people like you out there who do nothing but hate? It would be much easier to put on a straight show. But gay people are tired of hiding from ignorant people as yourself. People are who they are. Gay people have to accept people like you why can't you accept them. Or maybe you can't accept them because you can't accept yourself and who or what you are!!

I am a Liberal Christian with a lot of Republican friends. My Republican friends and I sometimes disagree on politics, but we do so in a friendly manner. We do not verbally attack each other because we disagree. We just agree to disagree!

Because it is Republican Christians that want to shove their fascist version of Christianity down our throats through school prayer, school choice initiatives, funding of religious schools through my tax dollars and through other religious dogma. There is one thing LIBERALS DO NOT TOLERATE and that is fascism. And that is exactly what the Christian right is, fascist.

The intolerant should not be tolerated.
If a tolerant movement allowed the intolerant in, then the movement would become intolerant too.
It's called "The Paradox of the Left" and the solution is simple: you cannot be tolerant to everybody, you cannot tolerate the intolerant.

Its all about votes cast. They dont really like gays, lesbians, blacks or Hispanics.
