Passover (in Hebrew, Pessach) is a Jewish holiday that takes place in April and celebrates when the Pharaohs released the Israelites from slavery. When the Israelites left Egypt, they did not have time to allow their dough to rise and baked flat pita-like bread, so part of the celebration of Passover today is that Jews do not eat leavened food (such as bread) during the week of Passover. On the first night of Passover, Jewish families have a "Seder", which is a festive meal where the story of Passover is told. Thanks for asking!

It is celebration by the Jewish people of the time when Moses rescued them from slavery. They do not eat bread or other foods which were not available during the time when they were wandering in the desert trying to find the Holy Land. The Last Supper was a Passover dinner.

Passover otherwise known as Pesach is a Jewish festival which is celebrated to remember anicient times when the Jews where enslaved in Egypt. We eat foods which symbolise different things that happened there and we retell the story of the miracles that happened for the Jewish people. Take care!
