I'm a big fan of American Blues - bitterness expressed in every bar. Something real basic try Red House or The Thrill Is Gone.

When I'm bitter, I play Brahms on my electric(violin) with a lot of distortion. I think that it may be my non-silent protest for years of practicing.

a lot of stuff by Marilyn Manson works well, as some of the lyrics spell out the same contempt for society that I feel sometimes.
