after he took his car to get an oil change, a beep in the fusebox under the steering wheel keeps coming on and off
it comes in like a hospital life line in 4 sets of 5 beeps we he turns the car on. we don't know what it is or if it's dangerous or not. it's not the seatbelt beep, that's all we know.
there's no indicator light for it either
just a beep
can you tell me what it is and if it's dangerous? thanks we really appreciate it

U know.. if that other guy is right and it IS a maintenance code, it could conceivably be telling you that the fuse may have been put in wrong.

Try taking it out and putting it back in. Just a thought.

That's a maintenence code. THe mechanic should have caught this. THe onboard computer is sending out a maintenence code. Some of them for the Escape are uncategorized so good luck.
