Is there really a way that we can keep all the countries from promoting, only, their own interests, and thereby eliminate the resulting conflicts of interests, and the necessity for war?

No this is not possible, we tried it in the early 20th century and our mechant and passenger ship got sunk by unrestricted submarine warfare and we got the Zimmerman telegraph delivered to our doorstep (Thanks Mexeco). The we tried it again in the thirties and we got a whole butt load of of explosives dropped on our forces at Pearl Harbor and Hickam Field. When you turn your backs on war it won't be long before you find a knife in it.

Yes because all wars tend to do is generate more wars. Diplomacy & International law, when done right, should be able to solve any conflicts or disagreements in the world before anyone has to start shooting. War is product of failed or inadequate diplomacy so if you have the right diplomats you should never have to go to war.

What about at least turning away from wars based on lies, illegal in their justification and evil and incompetent in their execution. I don't call it the "Iraq War" but rather the Dictator Dumbya Big Lie Iraqi Crusade. It was also called O.I.L. at first, and maybe THAT was right the FIRST time???

I suggest that we wage war with countries that attacked us on 911 (Saudi Arabia) and those that threaten our security(Iran, Syria).
